Documentation Custom domains

Custom domains

You can't attach custom domains to one-click deployments yet. The Custom Domains card in the Deploy panel (Production) only keeps a list in the page. It never contacts Vercel, it doesn't verify DNS or issue certificates, its "SSL" label is cosmetic, and the list is cleared when you reload. One-click deployments live in CloudCode's Vercel account, so you can't add a domain to them from Vercel either.

To use your own domain
1
Push the project to GitHub
Use the GitHub tab to push to a repository you own.
2
Import it into your own Vercel account
In Vercel, create a new project from the repository. Vercel runs the build for frameworks like Vite or Next.js.
3
Add the domain in Vercel
Go to Project → Settings → Domains, add your domain, and create the A or CNAME record Vercel shows at your DNS provider.
4
HTTPS
Vercel issues the TLS certificate automatically once DNS resolves.
